Martin King

Martin joined the team at Pathways in 2008 as Director and co-owner, and with Richard has played a key role in the company’s growth to become one of the largest and most reputed specialist immigration companies in New Zealand.

Martin is originally from the United Kingdom where he held senior management positions with a publicly listed recruitment business. Martin migrated to New Zealand in 2006 along with his Kiwi wife, whom he met in London 12 years ago, and the couple’s two children. Initially basing themselves in Hamilton, the family relocated to Wellington in 2016. Ballet plays a big part of the King family life and when both children were accepted for full time training at The Royal Ballet School, the King family temporarily relocated back to the United Kingdom and Martin splits his time between Wellington and London.

In April 2020, Martin also joined the senior management team at specialist medical recruitment company NZDr (New Zealand Doctor recruitment).

Through his work as an immigration adviser, Martin has represented many doctors and their families with their New Zealand immigration requirements. Based out of the Pathways/ NZDr’s “London office”, Martin now combines this immigration experience and his extensive recruitment experience, along with his own personal migration journey, to continue supporting doctors and other healthcare workers on their journey to move, live and work in New Zealand.

Martin specialises in employment related immigration, critical health workers, and in managing some of Pathways’ portfolio of corporate relationships.
