Maggie is originally from China but is now very proud to call herself a New Zealand citizen. She first came to New Zealand in February 2005 as an international student where she studied at the University of Waikato. She graduated with her first qualification, a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, in 2006. She later continued her studies with a Master of Arts majoring in Applied Linguistics, from which she graduated in September 2009.

Before joining Pathways in 2009 Maggie gained six years work experience in the education sector, including working two years as a university lecturer in China, and four years as an ESOL language teacher in New Zealand. Maggie is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and enjoys using her multilingual communication skills to assist clients with their immigration matters.

Maggie utilises her multi-lingual talents to primarily work with our Chinese speaking clients advising upon all immigration issues and visa application types.

Maggie enjoys belly dancing; she is a member of Shana’s Belly Dancing Group and has been performing belly dancing within the Indigo festival and a variety of international multi-cultural festivals in Hamilton and Auckland. Maggie also enjoys dining out, shopping, travelling, photographing, and watching rugby games especially the All Blacks.
