Tim grew up in Hamilton and from his very first day at school he has lived with, and has been involved with, people from many different countries and cultures because of his parents’ international business focus. Before he was 18 years Tim had travelled to several different countries and formed lifelong friendships with many of the young people from these countries. When he graduated from high school he and a group of friends spend a month in Thailand with their Thai school friends.
After high school Tim studied at Victoria University in Wellington where he graduated with BA degree majoring in Political Science and International Relations. He then ran his own preschool childcare business before joining the multinational group Billabong where he combined his love of skateboarding and alternative sports and beginning a career in retail in their Amazon Stores. He worked for Amazon for 5 years and managed the Queensgate Shopping Mall Store, one of the company’s busiest stores.
In 2014 Tim took a sabbatical to spend time with his very young and growing family of three beautiful girls and, being a typical NZ do-it-yourself handyman, spent time renovating the family’s 100 year old two storey villa house in Wellington. During this time he considered his next career move and decided to undertake and complete the Immigration Adviser Graduate Certificate qualification.
Tim is now a Licensed Immigration Adviser. His “can-do” attitude and longstanding empathy with all cultures, together with the experience and support from the family business, provides a sound foundation for Tim’s immigration adviser career.
Tim is a very people orientated and naturally friendly person who is able to quickly and easily relate to anyone no matter what their backgrounds. He is very family and socially orientated and loves spending time preparing exotic meals and hosting friends, and taking any opportunity to showcase his accomplished DJ skills!
