Consultant Radiologist - Upper South Island

Work across multidisciplinary Radiology services including the provision of general radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI with angiography and interventional radiology - if required.
Join a team of eight experienced Radiologists, who are well supported by a professional team of medical imaging technologists (MIT's), sonographers, registered nurses, radiography assistants, and dedicated administration staff.

The Radiology department is invested in having the latest equipment and technology, as well as fit for purpose facilities. The hospital is growing in specialists and there will be opportunities for the successful applicant to introduce new technologies alongside this growth within their expertise. They have close links to Christchurch Hospital who provide the tertiary level vascular procedures such as thoracic stent grafting, fenestrated EVAR and thrombolysis.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in Radiology
Subspecialty interests will be considered.
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Working in New Zealand
Health New Zealand has a Collective Employment Agreement in place across all their Districts offering :
Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
Reimbursement of APC, college membership, and indemnity insurance.
Access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
Assistance with relocation.
