At Pathways®, we are proud to recognise the extensive advocacy work undertaken by our experienced advisers, Charlotte Summers and Anthony Callaghan, in helping clients navigate some of New Zealand's most challenging immigration issues.
Based on published decisions of the Immigration and Protection Tribunal (IPT), Charlotte and Anthony have collectively undertaken 167 appeal cases, over recent years, including:
• 97 residence appeals
• 70 deportation appeals
These published appeals cover a broad range of complex immigration matters, including skilled employment and job offer issues, health and character concerns, family and relationship eligibility, sponsorship requirements, deportation liability, and humanitarian circumstances. In addition, there are many IPT appeals which are not able to be published due to privacy and other considerations.
Beyond Tribunal advocacy, Charlotte and Anthony have also prepared and submitted more than 200 successful Ministerial Intervention requests, seeking special consideration for clients facing exceptional circumstances.
The published decisions confirm that the majority of appeals achieved positive outcomes for clients, including:
✔ Decisions being referred back to Immigration New Zealand for reassessment
✔ Residence outcomes being granted following appeal proceedings
✔ Deportation appeals being allowed
✔ Successful challenges to previous immigration decisions
Collectively, Charlotte and Anthony have assisted with more than 500 complex immigration matters, over the last several years reflecting the depth of experience and expertise available within the Pathways team.
Every case represents a person, a family, or a future that mattered enough to fight for.
If you are facing an immigration appeal, deportation issue, visa decline, or other complex immigration challenge, we are here to help.
