Cardiologist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiologist to participate in the continuing expansion of this multidisciplinary Cardiology Service. This includes the provision of community-based cardiology services, as well as the development of the hospital based secondary care service. There are facilities for exercise ECG's, ambulatory monitoring, echocardiography (including TOE), diagnostic cardiac angiography, and the insertion and follow up of permanent pacemakers. There is a well-established heart failure service and the service is implementing the national standards for cardiac care. The service is currently undertaking extensive planning to develop the existing service including dedicated diagnostic angiography and pacemaker implantation facilities.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in Cardiology
Subspecialty interests will be considered.
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Internal Medicine/Cardiology
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
