We are seeking a consultant psychiatrist who is interested in working collaboratively with a comprehensive MDT and a range of community based mental health service providers.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate proven clinical leadership, the ability to engage with service planning and development and quality processes. You will be an integral member of the clinical team and provide a high level of expertise and experience.
The Service is committed to clinical excellence in all disciplines. Senior medical staff are expected to take part in clinical audit and peer review to ensure quality clinical care is provided.

Located in the lower North Island in a stunning rural lifestyle destinations and offers an amazing variety of leisure pursuits with beaches, rivers and national parks with great opportunities for outdoor activities. World renowned wineries are nearby and the area is rich in arts and crafts with many cafes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience and expertise in General Adult Psychiatry
Subspecialty interests will be considered.
Hold post graduate specialist qualifications and registration in Psychiatry
Be eligible for an Annual Practicing Certificate and vocational scope of Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.

Annual leave: 6 weeks
CME Allowance and Leave - $16,000/2 weeks
$185,000 - $268,000 Base salary + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
