Our client boasts an active specialist referral base with tertiary, regional and national services. The Women’s Health sonography team offers inpatient and high risk outpatient services. Across the Women’s Health service they have 8 Ultrasound machines. You will work closely with the Women’s Health Fetal Medicine Team, obstetricians and gynaecologists.

There is an AGFA PACS system with a filmless environment.

In this position, you will provide a Diagnostic reporting service in Women’s Health Ultrasound for this large facility and its sattelite sites to support our clients and family. The ultrasounds are largely performed by our highly skilled team of sonographer’s but there may at times be some hands on scanning required.

The position is a permanent part time (0.15 – 0.3 FTE) with both morning sessions and afternoon sessions available depending on the day of the week. You will be responsible for issuing reports and signing off sonographer reports, liaising with other services, providing opinion on other imaging modalities, supervising sonographers, radiology registrars.

New Zealand has a Multi-Employer Collective Agreement in place across all the District Health Boards and salaries are consistent based upon years of post-specialist experience. NZDr can provide you with all the details for this.


Benefits include:

Base salary (NZ$164,000- $244,560) + allowances for job size, on call and availability.
6 weeks annual leave
2 weeks / $16,000 CME/CPD Allowance
Reimbursement of your practicing registration fees, college membership and indemnity insurance
