Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join their Engineering Services department. Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our division, with a strong focus on delivering results safely.

This role will be based in Hamilton, Waikato and occasional weekend work may be required.

About the Role

  • Set up and manage the Safety and Quality Plans, working with the Project Manager to meet client and PFS objectives.
  • Provide Engineering skills to assist the team in implementation of the works.
  • Providing timely information to ensure key stakeholders are engaged to meet client deadlines.
  • Procure materials and plan resources for maintenance and project works.
  • Manage all maintenance documentation including drawings and correspondence with client, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Act as direct point of contact with client and their advisors or team. Manage the interface between PFS and client on commercial, contractual, and technical issues.
  • Working with the Project Managers to forecast and achieve your budget, prepare monthly reports including forecast final costs.
  • Work with the Project Managers to exceed financial goals, quality expectations and deliver on time in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with PFS QA systems and processes.
  • Build a positive long-term working relationship with clients.
  • To carry out all accident and incident investigations, reporting as required.

  • About You

  • Problem solving ‘can do’ attitude.
  • A team focused self-starter.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the engineering industry.
  • Trade or university qualification in Mechanical Engineering, not essential.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deadline orientated, without compromising H&S
