Other Critical Workers

Employers can submit border exemption request to Immigration New Zealand to allow their employees to travel to New Zealand as “other critical workers”.

The request must evidence that either their employee has unique experience and technical or specialist skills that are not readily obtainable in New Zealand, or the employee is undertaking a time-critical role in one of the listed infrastructure / Government projects or for work which brings significant wider benefit to the national or regional economy.
