Pathways® and Engineering New Zealand partner to support migrant engineers21 Oct 2025

Pathways to New Zealand® is delighted to announce a new partnership with Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau – a dynamic collaboration designed to support migrant engineers and New Zealand engineering employers with their immigration needs.

As one of New Zealand’s most established and trusted immigration firms, Pathways® has been helping people make New Zealand their home since 1992. Our team of 12 Licensed Immigration Advisers brings together over 150 years of combined expertise, including enrolled lawyers, former Immigration New Zealand officers, and globally experienced professionals. With offices in Wellington and Hamilton, and team members based in Australia, the UK, and France, we can communicate in 10 languages and offer a truly international perspective.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence, integrity, and ensuring New Zealand has access to the specialist engineering talent it needs. With approximately 20 engineering roles currently featured on the Green List, many engineers qualify for the Straight to Residence pathway. Our advisers are well-versed in engineering qualifications, professional registration, and the documentation required to meet Green List, Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) , and other visa criteria.

Together with Engineering New Zealand, we aim to make immigration smoother and more strategic for employers and their engineering staff. Our tailored advice helps streamline recruitment, employer accreditation, and immigration compliance – enabling businesses to become “immigration-ready” and proactively address challenges before they arise.

At Pathways®, immigration is never just about the visa. We take a holistic approach, considering the goals and circumstances of the individual, their family, and the employer. Our focus on pre-planning and futureproofing ensures timely, cost-effective, and successful immigration outcomes.

With the Government’s recent announcements of new roading and infrastructure projects, the country will need more engineers. We are privileged to be selected by Engineering New Zealand to support their mission of attracting and retaining global engineering talent. We look forward to helping engineers settle and thrive in New Zealand – and to supporting the engineering sector in meeting its current and future workforce needs.

Exciting times ahead!
